 Bayern Munich's Thiago Alcantara his contract with Bayern Munich to 2019, the Bundesliga champions said Thursday. Thiago, 24, joined Bayern from Barcelona in 2013 and has added two more years to his previous deal which was due to expire in 2017. "We are happy that Thiago has decided to stay with Bayern long-term," chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told the club homepage. "He is young and an important player for the future of the club." Thiago has made 41 competitive appearances for Bayern but missed more than a year of action due to cruciate ligament injuries before making his comeback in April this year. | |||||
